Antipsychiatry Scholarship Established at The        University of Toronto

An exciting new scholarship has been established by The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at The University of Toronto called "The Bonnie Burstow Scholarship in Antipsychiatry"- the very first such scholarship anywhere. It could also be called a big boost for independence of thought and intellectual freedom within hallowed halls of academia.

    Hashtag #MadLivesMatter

Given racial profiling and police shootings, a movement has grown up around the idea that Black Lives Matter.

Some of the black people killed by police also had had run ins with the mental health system. There are also non-black people who have been killed needlessly. There is a much higher mortality rate in the mental health system for people given the most serious of diagnostic labels than exists for the population at large. You can put #MadLivesMatter in the Google search engine, or you can do the same search at Twitter to find out about, and to report, the deaths of people affected by the mental health system. We can do something about this high mortality rate. Let people know. Mad Lives Matter, too.
