Fighting The Psychiatric Empire
Part of the problem we've got when it comes to fighting the psychiatric empire is the pervasiveness of psychiatric propaganda and the domineering institutions that go along with it. Should you do a Google news search, for instance, with 'anti-psychiatry' as the search-term, you are likely to get more anti-anti-psychiatry news items than anti-psychiatry news items. Pharmaceutical executives, the corporate owned mass media, corrupt politicians, and psychiatrists are all in cahoots when it comes to turning people into the poor pathetic submissive slaves of rich authoritarian bosses by psychiatric means.
Anti-psychiatry experts are out there, definitely, but as mis and disinformation on the subject is so pervasive, you might have to do a little searching to find them. We have our own Underground Railroad after all, modeled on the Underground Railroad operating during the heyday of slavery in the American south, endeavoring to free people from psychiatric institutions and protect them from forced drugging by working outside of the auspices of psychiatric law. Some of the people working to deliver people from psychiatric institutionalization are anti-psychiatry, some of them are not anti-psychiatry.
A good place to start when it comes to anti-psychiatry connections and information is You Tube. There have been videos made on the subject. Another good place to look is Facebook, there have been Facebook pages thrown up on the subject of anti-psychiatry. There are also many personal pages and blogs up on the internet pertaining to the subject. There have been questions posed as to whether some of these people are really anti-psychiatry, or whether some of them are just posers. I'm not out to answer those questions. If you are adult, you should be able to determine the truth of the matter for yourself by yourself.
Below I have included links to a few webpages that have some bearing, in organizational and informational terms, on the subject:

Anti-Psychiatry And The Struggle For Human Rights
Psychiatry is a racist, sexist, homophobic, disablist, and classist (elitist) oppressive institution. Black people, women, and young people are targeted in dis-proportional inordinate large numbers by psychiatry for oppression and readjustment. Angry blacks, uppity woman, and rebellious youths in particular can find themselves victimized by this institution that for the sake of the status quo, and the establishment it supports, is designed to keep them down and out.
Given this reality, the struggle for the liberation of all people from oppression is also a struggle against psychiatry as psychiatry is one of the most effective means that governments have found to oppress human beings. Psychiatry is the way that people are adjusted to war, poverty, injustice, and all sorts of other misfortunes we attribute, and falsely so, to the human condition. If you want to end war, if you want to end poverty, if you want to end injustice, if you want to end discrimination, a good place to start would be with institutional forced psychiatry and the oppression that goes along with it.
